Welcome to The Aubrey Singers, an ambitious and sociable chamber choir set up in 2022 and based in London’s Notting Hill. We aspire to combine musical excellence with a friendly atmosphere and a strong sense of community.

The choir has around fifty non-auditioned singers who take great pride and pleasure in preparing and performing choral music to a high standard. We love to sing a wide-ranging and inspiring repertoire, from baroque to contemporary covering many different composers and styles, including Purcell, Mozart and Schubert, through Duruflé and Vaughan-Williams to Cecilia McDowall, Kerry Andrew, Ola Gjeilo and Martin Palmeri. We put on two to three concerts a year and, although we all share a love of singing and performing, we also love the camaraderie, the making of new friends and the connections that are all part of the experience. We want singing to be fun and exciting.

We are delighted to have Jamie Powe as our Musical Director. Jamie is a dedicated choral conductor, composer and singer and has been our conductor since the choir’s inception in March 2022. He continues to expertly guide us through rehearsals and brings out the best in our performances.
